1. Our Services
Health Cheque Ltd provides expert guidance and advice on health insurance options. We will make a personal recommendation after assessing your needs and circumstances. Where advice is not offered, we will clearly confirm this in writing.
2. Products We Offer
We offer Private Medical Insurance, International Medical Insurance, and Life Insurance products, selected from a fair and personal analysis of the market. We will inform you if any recommendation is based on a limited number of insurers.
3. Our Remuneration (Cost of Our Services)
We do not charge you a fee for our services. We are paid a commission by the insurer, which is a percentage of the premium. You may request information on the commission we receive at any time.
4. Capacity in Which We Act
We act on your behalf when providing advice and arranging policies. In some cases, we may act as an agent of the insurer — this will be confirmed before any transaction is completed.

If we cannot resolve your complaint to your satisfaction, you may refer your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service (www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk).
6. Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS)
We are covered by the FSCS. You may be entitled to compensation if we are unable to meet our obligations:
- 100% of the claim for long-term insurance with no upper limit
- 90% of the claim for all other types of insurance with no upper limit

7. Regulation
Health Cheque Ltd is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). Our FCA registration number is 808672. You can verify this by visiting the FCA Register at www.fca.org.uk/register or calling 0800 111 6768.
8. Conflicts of Interest
We aim to avoid conflicts of interest, but where they arise, we will notify you in writing before proceeding and outline how we will manage the conflict to ensure fair treatment.
9. Client Money Handling
We do not handle client money. Premiums are paid directly to the insurer.
10. Cancellation of Policies
To cancel a policy, requests must be made in writing and returned with any insurance documentation. The insurer’s cancellation terms will apply, and they may retain all or part of the premium.
11. Ending Our Relationship
You may terminate our services at any time by notifying us in writing. We will not impose a penalty, but you must settle any outstanding payments. We may also terminate the relationship by providing 14 days’ notice.
12. Your Responsibilities
You must:
- Provide complete and accurate information
- Inform us of any changes in circumstances
- Read all policy documents carefullyFailure to do so could result in cancellation or invalidation of your insurance.
13. Claims Handling
We will assist you in notifying and managing claims but do not guarantee claims will be paid. Refer to your policy documents for claim procedures and timeframes.
14. Use of Personal Data
We take your privacy seriously. When you contact us or use our services, we will collect, store and process personal and sensitive data (including health-related data) to provide quotes, advice, arrange insurance policies, and manage claims where applicable.
Your data is handled in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. This includes circumstances where we may share information with insurers, healthcare providers, or legal representatives to fulfil your insurance needs.
